Our Team

Staff are either fully qualified or undergoing training to achieve level 2 or above in appropriate childcare qualifications. All staff are encouraged to attend regular courses to enhance professional development and practice.

All staff undertake training in a variety of areas throughout the year. As well as training across the Early Years Foundation Stage they renew their paediatric first aid and child protection every 3 years.

As a close-knit friendly organisation it is of utmost importance for us to have the best staff. All staff at the nursery have been selected for their expertise, caring disposition and enthusiasm for working with young children, as well as their excellent communication skills.

The Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and parents to share this commitment. Parents will be notified of all concerns and referrals unless we are advised differently by the Local Safeguarding Children's Board.

The Nursery participates in the provision of Surrey County Council's Early Years Free Entitlement (EYFE). Please contact the office for further information regarding delivery of the EYFE.

We feel this gives the right blend of experience and keenness to learn, and keeps us right up to date with any new developments. Unit and staff meetings are held regularly in order to review practice, share experiences and discuss childcare sector developments.

Staff appraisals and career plan reviews are held once a year.
